Two posts in one day!

I’m making one of my favorite meals tonight and I want to share the recipe. It’s so good I feel like everyone should be eating it.

Barbecue Meatballs

1 1/2 lbs of ground beef (or turkey if you want a lighter version)

7 oz of milk

1 cup Italian breadcrumbs

1 egg

1/2 cup of chopped onions

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tsp chili powder

Mix all of the ingredients together and form into walnut sized meatballs. I use a small portion scoop, AKA a small ice cream scoop, to do this. Put them in a 9×13 baking dish.

Barbecue Sauce

1 cup of ketchup

3/4 cup of brown sugar

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 chopped onion

1 tsp liquid smoke

Mix everything in a medium saucepan and stir until brown sugar dissolves. Pour over meatballs and bake for 1 hour.

I’m serving them with baked beans, corn, and garlic butter biscuits.
